European Human Resources Director

Blizzard Entertainment Europe is looking for an experienced human resources director at our European headquarters near Paris, France. This person will manage various human resources initiatives to ensure the successful development of the Blizzard Entertainment SAS structure in Europe. The ideal candidate will possess high personal, professional and ethical standards, and will have successfully worked in an international, multicultural organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage the social environment of Blizzard Entertainment�s European offices; supervise branch-agreement negotiations regarding employee benefits, work conditions, etc.
• Lead the planning, development, communication, and implementation of the company's talent-management process, ensuring a continuous pipeline of talent through a viable succession-plan and leadership-development process.
• Lead the continuing development and implementation of the company's performance-management system, in support of the organization's current and expected business challenges.
• Lead projects for the European human resources team in regard to organizational change, training, compensation policies, and all global human resources initiatives.
• Develop and maintain internal communication channels between our European offices and U.S. headquarters.
• Ensure that all staff are fully informed with regard to domestic and global HR initiatives.

• Degree level education in human resources or a related field
• 5 + years experience in human resources management with a large, multinational company
• Experience with human resources practices and policies in Europe
• Experience creating and implementing processes and policies related to compensation, benefits, and employee development
• Strong project management experience and skills
• Ability to maintain a strict code of confidentiality and use of discretion
• Fluent in English and one additional European language (French preferred)
• Desire and ability to travel frequently
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Master's degree in human resources or related field
• Detailed working knowledge of HR practice and employment legislation for France
• Experience in entertainment or software development industries
